Ginoong Filipinas started it all. It has pioneered the search for outstanding males in the country and was quite successful in its endeavors.. Other early searches include Maharlikang Pilipino, Bodyshots and Eat Bulaga's Mr. Pogi who until now despite the lack of enthusiasm from sponsors continue to discover gorgeous men who has the potential to make a dent at least in the modelling world or maybe showbiz. Mr. Pogi however has the edge and obvious reason for this is TV exposure as the candidate has the chance to showcase themselves and whatever talent they have in television. They also have produced excelent line-up of Mr. Pogi alumni namely Jericho Rosales , Alison Andres Mark Guzman and of course our featured friend for today Elbert Alvarez. Elbert admits he has joined similar talent and personality searches before, but his Mr. Pogi experience tops them all. Elbert was included as one of the finalists.
