Costa Rica's bet this year is Alonzo Fernandez Alvarez. He is 24, 184 cms., and weighs 71 kilograms. He is a businessman moonlighting as a model. And when he join Manhunt Int'l in Korea last February, he has high hopes that he will place himself in Manhunt totem pole. China won the contest, but that didnt dampen Alonzo's spirit. Getting a finalist nod is synonymous already to a "win" to this gorgeous hunk. Alonzo Fernandez Alvarez did not dillydally when Mr. World take centerstage in Sanya China in March. He took his Manhunt experience to bolster his already soaring chances, and indeed lady luck struck gold .... again .... when he inch his way to finalist-finish. Then the Mr. Model World 2007 came and phew ... he took the first runner up spot behind Alberto Garcia of Venezuela.
Alonzo Fernandez Alvarez is multi-lingual. He speaks Spanish, English and French, . a good preparation for the budding businessman. He is also into sports. He loves swimming, gymnastics, acrobatics and practice yoga and meditation. Back in Costa Rica ... Alonzo twin-win achievement is something future candidates could dream for.
