The current "Mister Venezuela Sport" and representative of Venezuela in the "Mister Continents States 2015," Angel David Rodriguez, could not travel to Manila, Philippines, to participate in this first contest officially started yesterday, because the problem with air travel abroad.
As is known, foreign airlines are not selling tickets for Venezuela's local currency (Bolivar) but in dollars or euros, due to the refusal of the Venezuelan government to cancel the outstanding debt amounting to billions of dollars from the year 2012. To this is added the tax change control in the country since 2003 and does not allow the free purchase of foreign currency by Venezuelans.
For these reasons, Venezuela is absent from "Mister Continents States" competition that brings together dozens of young people around the planet and whose final is scheduled for Friday May 29.
