National Costume Competitions always have their place in both male and female beauty contests. It is colorful, in some instance dramatic and eyeful at the same time; as national costume designers crack their heads to make their candidates catched the audience and viewers attention as they show more flesh and skin. Others however stick with tradition and shows us a glimpse of how they look in their country in a not so distant past no matter how fully clothed they are.

Whatever choices they made whether they opted for the former or the latter, this years batch manage to shine, stole the thunder and compete with the historic background in Paoay Ilocos.
