Flores de Mayo

Santacruzan or Flores de Mayo is held once a year in a "flowery" month of May. Beautiful ladies in the community are chosen to join a flashy and multi-colored parade escorted by equally gorgeous and handsome men - a tableau extravagantly ostentatious and showy. In Manila, beauty queens and who's who in the beauty firmament flooded Manila's streets and beauty kings and ramp models added glamour and elegance to the already colorful proceedings dedicated in honor of Blessed Virgin Mary.
