Annual Report 2024

It is just so surreal ... and one asks ... what the Pinoy beauty kings and queens are drinking in their country  ... and what is so special about them that it is always raining cats and dogs for them as far as crowns and sashes are concerned? And why of all countries ... are their delegates always at a vantage point and striking distance to get the titles that are so elusive to other countries?

I am not superstitious, but when the supporters of another country (with all due respect to them) accused Megan Young of unleashing some sort of paranormal psychic power for all the world to see (others misconstrued the insinuation as black magic, spells, witchcraft, sorcery, or any magical influence, especially employed for evil purposes) ... I was flabbergasted.

I don't blame the fan for being partisan ... it was maybe the heat of the moment that they became passionate ... and the fever-pitch competition fueled one to say remarks with cultural undertones & coloring.

If you ask my opinion, I don't see why a country has to resort to some underhanded tactics, chicanery, and deception just to win a crown. In Miss World 2024, the Philippine representative has been eliminated from the get-go ... despite promising preliminaries where she lord supreme. Megan doesn't know Gwen Fourniol personally ... so logic dictates if the fan's accusation is true (touching the candidate's forehead)... what benefit will that give Megan or the Philippines? If the accusation is true ... did Megan do it to give Krystyna Pyszkova of the Czech Republic the upper hand to become the new Miss World? I don't think so.

Besides the Philippines doesn't have to prove anything anymore. It won strings of Country of the Year recognition back-to-back-to-back (by winning major and minor titles left and right.)  They prepared long and hard ... to reach the stature everybody is envious of ... so dousing aspersion to besmirch and tarnish somebody else name is futile and a foolish gesture.

You see this year ... it is only April, but the Philippines have already amassed this many titles and wins. Name a country that is close second and they are miles away. And I am saying that without sarcasm!
