Now it can be told! Jhonmark failed to make it in the finals of Mr. Universe Model 2012. I think this result is expected and Jhonmark should not feel bad about it. For how in the world could someone land a place when he just showed 5 days before the finals, and now basing from news from the candidates themselves, his non-appearance in the earlier proceedings of the contest was because of a some non payment issues with MUM, where if words from candidates were to be believe there was this threat that he will not be allowed at all to participate in the pageant. Shocking news.
And now there were another whole set of controversies hurled at the pageant. Issues like favoritism, hometown decisions, an 90% Dominican Republic setting as judges, preferential treatments and the candidates protests where Erick Jimenez Sabater all alone in the stage and the rest of the candidates turning their back in disapproval.
Man Central will refrain from commenting on this issues, purely because we were not there first hand. In fairness to Erick, Man Central believed he is gorgeous and he did have an awesome physique. We were torn between him and Daniel Cajiao of Argentina for the title. Had he been more subdued or laidback or just plain friendly ... maybe winning will be a little more sweeter!

July 9, 2012 - Now It can be told Jhonmark Marcia is really in Dominican Republic. Thanks to my very good friend Julio Rodriguez of Belleza Venezolana who despite the distance (Venezuela to California) he can really read minds! At the time when I have my doubts that Jhonmark has finally arrive the shores of this tiny but beautiful Carribean paradise, Julio come to the rescue and supplies us with first hand reports and photos ... and voila ... Jhonmark now shares the Belleza Venezolana pages and limelight, as he is seen cavorting and flaunting muscles vis a vis Latin male delights.
Funny ... pero kahapon , I voiced out my frustration in one of the entertainment blogs (I don't know why I did that... pero nangyari na eh. E doon pala sa konting sinabi mo ... pagbabayaran at pagdusahan mo pala ito ng malaki dahil unti-unting kang kakagatin ng mga nagha-harian doon hanggang wala ng matira sa iyo.
All I said was ," ... This is ridiculous! The awards for Best Physique was announced yesterday, so where was Jhonmark hiding all this time? Even the internet voting is useless ... because one week of being late ... can really cost him inclusion in the top 12 ..." May laman ang sinabi ko pero yon ang totoo.
Na sinagot naman ng isang TOP Commenter doon ng "... anong issue mo kay Jhonmark ... e guapo at deserving naman siya ..." and then nagumpisa ng maging personal ang mga banat. Kailangan bang umabot sa ganoon?
In the first place wala akong issue kay Jhonmark. Una dito ... ay kakilala ko siya, pati na ang manager niya. Ano mang maabot ni Jhonmark sa DR at sa pakontes na ito, ay matutuwa ako lalo na para sa Pilipinas. Kahit semi-finalist na lang, ay talagang papalakpak kami. Ang punto ko lang ... matagal na nilang plano ito na sumali, e bakit parang urong-sulong pa rin sila. Naintindihan ko ang financial burden ng mga nagpapadala ng kandidato sa ibang bansa lalo na ngayong mahirap kitain ang pera. Nakita ko na sang isang South American candidate noon na konti lang ang allowance at kumakalam na ang tiyan sa gutom ay tubig na lang iniinom. Nakita ko rin ang isang kandidato from Europe na tinutulog na lang sa kuarto ng hotel ang ginawa masave lang niya ang konting baon niya.
Hindi natin alam kung ito nga ang rason kung bakit nadelay ang pagdating ni Jhonmark (again let's give them the benifit of the doubt, baka meron ngang valid na dahilan) pero isang katotohanan ang nagdudumilat sa ating harapan, na kahit nandoon ng nga siya at nakipag-bunong-braso at nakipagrat-rat-an na sa mga Latinong Adonis ... malaki ang epekto ng late na pagdating nito -psychologically-wise pati na sa confidence. Kung ang lahat na kandidato ay kampante na sa company ng mga kasama dahil isang linggo na silang nagpatintero sa mga matulaing beach ng Punta Cana ... si Jhonmark at nagaadjust pa lang. E paano na lang kung mahiyain si Jhonmark ... saan na siya pupulutin?
Ito lang ang aking mga worries and fears. Nagpapadala nga tayo ng kandidato at kung saan sana may laban tayo ... doon pa nagkabulilyaso at nagkaaberya.
Doon naman sa entertainment blog na bigla kong naisipan nag-contribute ng aking saloobin... pasensiya na. At doon naman sa mga taong hindi naintiedihan kung ano ang aking tinutumbok pasensiya na rin. Pero di ba dapat hinay-hinay lang at huwag kagat ng kagat. In my opinion, I don't think I deserve it. Kasi ang lason ng laway galing sa pangil ng kumagat ay nakapanghihina ng loob at masakit mang sabihin ... nakakamatay ang rabies na dala nito
Kay Jhonmark naman, sana mali ako ... at sana manalo ka. Alam kong mahirap talunin si Argentina, isama mo pa ang Dominican Republic, Chile at Venezuela pero I know in your own special way, alam kung you will make Pilipinas proud. Sa mga madlang people naman, go na sa Mr. Universe model website at magboto na. Huli man at magaling .... naihabol pa rin!

July 8, 2012- SHOCKER OF THE DAY! Entertainment blogs gave us a "JUST IN" report that Jhonmark Marcia is currently in Dominican Republic competing in MR. Universe Model 2012. My first reaction was disbelief because the contest is already a week-old now and I still have to see Jhonmark (not even his shadow popped out) with fellow candidates. Since day 1, Julio Rodriguez of Belleza Venezolana has covered the day to day activities of the contest, and although I was hoping Jhonmark will make it, when the Best Body award was given out yesterday, I waved already the white flag, that Jhonmark was not coming after all. Besides,I just came from my two month vacation in the Philippines and I have talked with Jhonmark's friend, and he has not heard of any Mr. Universe Model 2012 preparation in Jhonmark's end. So is Jhonmark really in Dominican Republic competing? If he is, is this not a minus point for him? Is it not too late for him to catch up and make up? Pheeeew! there's a lot of questions I want to ask, but the way I see it ... it is one opportunity that went phfffft!

Jhonmark Marcia: Deliver The Goods!

I am not going to talk about Jhonmark this time ... what steal the thunder from this set of photos is my good friendster and multiply friend Van Mike Burgos who three years ago contend himself with just being a model. But I guess (this is just a guess) disappointed from the outcome of his previous shoots, now armed with his own camera, he shows how to make his model standout by applying what he envisioned his photos should come out to be. This is some kind of reaction formation type of defense mechanism in psychology. The failure of his photographers to bring out the best pictures of him as a model, he now preach and teach the world how it is to become a good photographer. His desire to make good and better images comes from within ... from his soul ... and making it happen thru his lens is another awesome story.

Making support to this set of photos is master Dan Santos whose works make me chuckle how he tranform models into an iconic state making me feel so envious why I don't have photos like this when I was in my prime. I guess Multiply, or Facebook or blogger was still in its hatching stage when I was in my best form.

And not to be ignored are the images taken from RD Dantes blog, and sexybikinibodies.blogspot.com. All photos contributed to the blistering heat this photoset has created ... although the dim backgound provide a contrasting feeling tone to the photos made by Van Mike.
