Francis Gonzalez; Then and Now

Ok guys ... I'll put you in the spot! We love our pageant candidates so dearly , especially the ones that we think deserves to win. We fought in their behalf ... and we answered critics in forums who gave below the belt comments about the way they walk ... and the way they look.

But time run so fast. And by the time you knew it ... the pageant idol that we put in the pedestal starts to grow grey hairs ... grow some mustache ... and the face that used to launch a thousand ships ... starts to grow wrinkles ... and of course there are unwanted fats somewhere.

Francis Gonzalez was one the  all time winner in Misters of Puerto Rico in 2005. He captivated everyone with his winsome smile ... and in his prime his abs and pecs winks. His stage presence absorbs you ... and when he flash those smile the dark stage lit. Nine years to be exact, did Francis maintain his magic ... or the ageing process starts to take its toll.

Francis Gonzales and Omar Martinez: PC In Group

2005 was a golden harvest in the stable of Misters of Puerto Rico. Aside from Francis Gonzales who was regarded as one of the most of the handsome faces to land in Latin firmament, Omar come as close second in terms of popularity, fan adulation, and confidence ( my goodness these are really born winners. Omar is 23 years old and has the Industrial Psychology title following his name.The first international pageant Omar joined was Mr. Continentes del Mundo (Mr. World Continents) which was held in Lima Peru. His eyes were focused on the crown, because he want to make Puerto Rico proud of him, but he fell a tad short from getting the elusive crown.He ended up as fourth runner up which is to me is already a major achievement.

Omar Martinez went to Guatemala ion Decemeber and again tried his luck with Mr. Expo World 2005. He won and all he can say was ... "this is the best christmas gift i have received. " Omar won the first ever Mr. Expo World Title and on the side was the the other icing on the cake - He also won the "traje tipico " (Best In National Costume?) and Mejor Cuerpo which is equivalent to Best Physique. Three major awards in one show ... that was BIG Omar! The other runners-up were Victor Jimenez of Costa Rica (1st) and Jose Figuroa of Guatemala(2nd).

Francis Gonzalez was a student in Microbiology in University of Puerto Rico when the first invitation to join beauty pageants started its toll. He was hesitant at first but on the other hand he knew he is goint to make it. Some people say it 's confidence ... I say Francis knows his stengths and assets. The first title won by Francis Gonzalez is Mr. Puerto Rico Model 2005. He was still a neophyte then and didn't really know what to expect with the title. Little did he know that the new world he in can give him a kaleidoscopic experience that could last a lifetime.

In October 2005 he went to Peru to compete for the title of Mr. Mundial 2005. With his impeccable good looks he wowed the audience and gave Puerto Rico its first international male title. Recently he was given by Yamal Production a distinguished title being one of the TOP 5 most beautiful Latin American men.

Francis Gonzalez is considered the 'designers delight' in Puerto Rico. Name any recognizable and top caliber designer and Francis has modeled for them. His name become synonymous to good image and good fashion sense. Aside from print and ramp modelling he was also given the opportunity to numerous TV commercials and endorsements.
