Hugo Vasquez is a jack of all trades and a master of all! From being a public accountant, he switched gears and become a model, then a pageant candidate, now a tv actor. Hugo Vasquez was a formidable candidate in Mr. Venezuela 2000. He represented Costa Oriental, however he lost to seasoned pageant favorites, Luis Nery Of Peninsula Goajira being one of them.
Towering 6 feet and two inches, and having a face that can put Mona Liza in the sideline, an invitation was offered to him to join Mr. Gala of Zulia. He really didn't put his heart on it, but he won. Having experienced adulation, Hugo realized , " this is the world I want to belong ..." and the rest as the cliche goes was history!
From a virtually unknown actor wannabee, Hugo Vasquez graduated to serious acting. He played a meaty role as Gregory in the telenovela Guerra de Los Mujeres (2001). His film debut created a lot of hoopla and Hugo not prepared for the demands showbiz can give just shrug off the ashes of getting burned in some instance. But he learned from his lessons. And he is a fast learner.
The film directory of Hugo Vasquez includes Juana La Virgin (2002), Mi Gorda Bella (2002), La Invasora ( 2003), Ser Bonita No Basta (2005), Te Tengo En Salsa (2006). Hugo hopes to have more challenging TV and film projects in the future
