Pageant Junkie Year End Report Card

The year  will soon pass us by ... which mark a good opportunity to look back and see what the year has given Philippine pageantry and its rabid fans. Releasing "the best and the worst of last year's list" or  maybe a controversy list - for instance ... the tumultuous Miss Universe finale, and Philippines back to back win in Miss Earth ... it may seem like click-baiting, and perhaps it is, because after reading the column of Ricky Lo's in the Philippine Star, one beauty expert named Celso de Guzman Caparas has compiled Philippines' golden harvest in pageantry this year and it is quite a "jawbreaker" realizing nobody can top this year's record ... not even in the next 20 years.

The list was long ... I was thinking I can gloat and be smug ... but i always remember what my mom taught me ... that we have to be magnanimous especially in victory. So I am spreading this information to you not for anything else ... but just following the December atmosphere of sharing the almost "That One is for Ripley" Philippine record -unsurpassed and unparalleled. My last thoughts on this: Well it is not a case of saving the best for last, but definitely adding more icing to the cake. Flash reports said Leren Bautista won the Miss Tourism Queen International 2015 just an hour ago in Malaysia.

With this development and long list above, I am curious how 2016 will be like for Philippine pageantry and her fans. My crystal ball is blurry, but with the 2015 record ...  I am so excited and optimistic.
