The 28 or so candidates of Man of the World 2017 were a a sight to behold, wearing their national costumes, the parade started in the streets of Tanjay City and it lasted for hours amidst the jubilation and cheers of locals who patiently lined up the streets to catch the glimpse of their favorites. Then the candidates stepped out of the float and then walked in two's in a local road to the delight of their fans who were just waiting for their chance to talk to them or pinched them.
The adoring crowd, many of whom stepped out of their offices, groceries and schools, jammed Tanjay’s streets and snapped pictures of the candidates who obviously were delighted with the warm welcome and in return they obliged requests for photo -ops.
At one point, there was a threat of rain but this didn't dampen their spirits as the candidates continuously waved at the Filipinos who supported them at this opening and inaugural salvo of Man of the World 2017.
