Mini Review: You go to the nearby bookstore and you will be deluge by numerous number of coffee table books. Household Idols by Mark Anderson however stands out from the rest of its forgettable company as it was very successful in blowing my minds off by its magnifiscent photography. You browse pages after pages and when you think you have seen the best there in, BAAAAANG ... another beautiful image appears on the next page. Household Idols is a happy trek to the realm of masculinity ... each virile models seduce you and caress you ... and its surreal highlights and shadows, astounds you. 90% of the images are painfully and excruciatingly erotic!

Mini Review: This is another coffee table book that is worth the wait. The Bel Ami troop went to Africa and they hit two birds with one stone. First, they shoot two movies for BelAmi and second was to photographed a group of young bare buddies making Africa the East of Eden.
The men are first-rate and Cape Town's topography and locales are breathtaking captured magically by the camera. This book is another silent proof of George Duroy's penchant for the beautiful, the colorful, and the tapestry mix of images is soothing to the eyes. Bel Ami capture this niche and he has another winner in this one.

In Young Men of Falcon the models that is currently working for this studio (Billy Brandt, Javier Duran, Jeremy Jordan, Karl Tenner to name a few had bonded to create one surefire hotcake that are up for grabs. The formula worked and sure enough, this book did not moved a muscle, but it is now in the bestsellers lists. Alluring eyes, handsome faces, chiselled physique, this glossy-all-color photobook is destined to blow you away. The heat is blistering and it burns the pages as these men pose "au naturel" and for your eyes only!

Review: This book is a must-buy for a Bel Ami lover. A compilation of 30 or so good looking models from George Duroy's stable it shows models horsing and frolicking and playing, all situations have a never ending possibilities of showcasing models in myriad scenarios. There are obligatory nude scenes, but because of Bel Ami's handling it never looked pornographic at all. Even the scenes where models have clothes, there's that innate and ingrained sexiness that steams. All models have a sense of child in themselves, a sense of freedom and happiness is imbued in every image, a quality that shines and sparkles. The paper used is first class, the images sunshiny and the layout a well thought of you could almost see the months they spend to make this book a good company when days are boring and weary.

Mini Review: Many of you have bought and rented movies from Bel Ami starring Johan, so if you want to see him on his birthday suit in this book, you are in for a big disappointment. If you want his nude picture go to the internet.

It is to Roffman's credit where his genius once again can be seen here despite lesser body exposures or tame-shots-only policy. Johan was photographed here body and soul ... and here his beautiful yet innocent face still reign supreme. I have never seen a photographer capturing the essence of his model. Here ... Roffman has given us the chance to see Johan's character and his total personality ... as they successfully emerge from front cover to the last page.

Review: Timeless by David Vance is one book for all seasons and for all ages. It is a black and white photography of male models in their late twenties, muscled men and developed athletes with timeless beauties ... and the images by virtue of being HOT ... some pictures are almost leaping on the pages. Some shots seemed theatrical and to my friend repetetive ... but overall the models looks and form, some fully or semi-naked steal the thunder and it is to David Vance credit, that the models stood tall and libido-draining. The cover model is proof to that!

Review: The Boys is all about the author's passion and that's photography. This book is his compilation of his beautiful works and his artistic expression showing young men at the peak of their physical perfection. The images are some of the best looking guys there is in this planet and they seem not to work at all ... they play! I feel envious seeing these guys play and they get the benifit of being photographed by one of the worlds best. Indeed this will be one of my favorites and indeed ... it will be in the top shelf of my male photography books which will be savored and enjoyed in the years to come.

Jeff Conger never fails to catch your attention when you visit local bookstores especially in San Francisco area. If it is not a post card or a photo book, chances are you will see him in a calendar or a birthday card with his boyish grin of postcard proportions lightening a rather tedious or a boring day.

It is to Steven Underhill's credit, to have an eye for models who has the ability to hit the bigtime and then give this model the opportunity to immortalize these images in photobooks that will forever haunt you and your memory.

All images are B & W. It is perfect companion especially if you like photography of a male body in its finest stance or form.
