My featured friend Erie Matic is six feet and 2 inches, and aside from having the skills in the ramp and in the screen, Erie possesses a perfect set of expressive eyes and a perfect tan making the moreno look of Richard Gomez pale in comparison. He knows his assets and in 2000 he joined Bodyshots and arm wrestled with JR Valentin , another friend from Cebu, for the top honors. JR won that round and Erie content himself being the first runner-up. In 2001, the now defunct MTV Fashionista started the Best Model Search for Men and Women and Erie took the plum. It was a sweet victory for Erie. He has proven he was not only good for a first runner up spot and if given a chance can also carry a title all his own. And from there, Erie was a toast in ramp and in commercial modeling, and the crux of his career is when he was given to star the Red Horse advertisement/commercial who enjoyed a good amount of playing time in TV.
