Kris Martinez: Close Up To Fame

In the eightees who can forget Gabby Concepcion and his Close Up smile which made him a star overnight. Rudolph Yaptinchay followed in a heartbeat and his appearance drove fans to near frenzy. Then lately there's John Pratts, Rafael Rossel, TJ Trinidad and Sam Milby who melted everyones hearts just flashing those toothpaste smiles. The new milleneum is no different. Kris Martinez came out from his coccoon in Bulacan to be an important Close Up To Fame quester. He was everybody's bet but was edged out by unpopular winner Reyson Yap of Davao. Proof to Kris staying power is his ability to jump fromtwo giant television networks as he appears in one teleserye to another. Earlier, Kris also joined Maharlikang Pilipino and that was another heartbreaker for him, because he lost again to another unpopular winner from Canada. Kris had just wrapped up Super Inggofor ABS-CBN and his latest movie Twilight Dancers is enjoying SRO crowds here and abroad as it competed from one festival to another.
